Tyler Summerly (LEASE)

from Beats Without Homes by Everybody's Hip-hop

/

about

Tyler Summerly was born in 1973 in the Bronx, NYC. He moved as a teenager to Miami, FL after his mom was admitted to an insane asylum. His dad was a touring jazz artist and relocated to Japan when Tyler was only 15. Tyler’s uncle mostly raised him until he fell victim to drug addiction. A budding artist with little guidance, Tyler tried to keep it together stringing together odd gigs here and there. But, it was just too much. Without support he quickly became homeless and meanders throughout Southeast Florida looking for odd jobs to stay afloat. He would love to settle down and find work with a laid back emcee who can ride a track like Snoop and at the same time bring that gritty NYC feel like Masta Ace or Nas.
