Janet Strongson was a firecracker as a child. She wouldn’t allow anyone to tell her no! She was born to high school dropouts who eloped after their junior year. They didn’t have much, but they had each other. Janet found a way to get everything she wanted. She had that kind of determination. She befriended a 3rd grade music teacher who taught her how to play the organ. She also learned how to play piano and had a naturally beautiful singing voice. Although ambitious and determined she just couldn’t hold down any meaningful job. But, her self respect won’t allow her to come begging for help. So, she works odd jobs here and there when she can to buy food and enough used clothes to get her by. She sneaks into YMCA’s to shower and is known to walk right into all you can eat buffets and eat all she can. Then, walks out.
