Cashmere Carter claims Dallas, TX as home. As a child, Cashmere loved to sing and was involved in many choirs. As she got older, she started singing more at talent shows and working gigs, displaying her soulful prowess and both a spoken word MC and a singer. She uprooted to New York City in her early 20s to make a name for herself, but never found steady work and ended up on the street. Cashmere is really into the neo soul movement and hopes to at least have her vocals heard on any recording made from Electric Lady Studios, whether it be from Common or better yet, Q-Tip.
