Alpani Soul comes from Teaneck, NJ. As an avid soul and funk piano player, Alpani travelled all across the United States and Europe. He especially loved the diverse European cities like Munich and Amsterdam. One night after playing a gig at Mister B.’s in Munich, he was jumped by some thugs looking for a score. Tragically, he was struck across both eye sockets with a pipe and lost 90% of his vision. Later, a good Samaritan found him bleeding in an alleyway and took him to a local hospital. Weeks later he was released, but he had no other possessions nor income to sustain himself. He took to panhandling on the streets, reminiscing of the days when he used to hammer out soulful tunes such as from the Isley Brothers and The Brothers Johnson.
